Dear Panther Families,
 
Welcome to the 2023-2024 School Year!  It is hard to believe that the first day of school is just around the corner.  It is our sincere hope that everyone has had a great summer and is ready for an exciting year!
 
At Inca we are committed to fostering a culture of excellence paired with strong relationships and high expectations for all.  Our staff has been engaged in training and professional development to ensure every student has access to the very best education.  We believe that partnerships between school and family are key to your child's success and we implore you to be actively involved in your child’s education.

Important Dates:
August 7th: Meet the teacher Night 6:00-7:30 p.m.
At Meet the Teacher Night:
  • Meet your child’s teachers and our wonderful staff!
  • Drop off medications to the Health Office
  • Sign up for PTA 
  • Inform the teacher of how your student will be returning home 
    • Bus, Car pick up, Walking, Bike or BASE.
August 9th: First Day of School (Early Release Day- 12:30 p.m.)
 
Meals 
There has been a recent change to our meal program.  We no longer have our complimentary food program for all students. You can apply for Free/Reduced Meals at https://secure.ezmealapp.com or stop by our office for an application. Breakfast will cost $1.50 (.30 reduced cost) and lunch will cost $2.65 (.40 reduced cost). Staff will be available at Meet the Teacher Night to place money on student accounts. 
 
Arrival Procedures
On the first day of school all students will report to their classrooms or to the cafeteria for breakfast. Every day thereafter, students arriving on campus between 8:00-8:20 a.m. will proceed to the cafeteria if they are having breakfast on site, or their designated playground.  

*Kinder ONLY:  On the first day of school, parents may walk up to the kinder gate (located by the front office doors) to drop off their child. Staff will be out front to guide you.  Beginning the second day of school, kinder parents will follow the car drop off procedure.

Walkers/Bike Riders:
  • Staff are available to assist students in getting to their assigned area or the cafeteria.    
  • Bike riders can lock up their bikes in the bike racks in the front of the school. Locks are highly recommended.
Bus Riders:
  • Staff are available to assist students in getting to their assigned area or the cafeteria.
  • School rules apply at school bus stops and on buses
Car Drop Off In Front of School:
  • Staff will be available to help students from 8:00-8:20 a.m.
  • Continue to pull forward
  • Remain in your vehicle at all times
  • Students should exit curbside on the right side of the vehicle 
  • Please follow all staff directions

Dismissal Procedures

Car Pick Up:
  • K-8 will be lined up under the solar panels at their release time
  • There is ONE lane for parent pick up. Do not go around another vehicle unless instructed by a staff member.
  • Students will not be permitted to cross streets or the parking lot to approach your vehicle. You may park your car and wait for your student(s) in the area designated for parents on the sidewalk. 
  • Remain in your vehicle at all times
  • Staff will guide you to pull forward and will be calling students to your vehicle
  • Please follow staff directions at all times
  • If you are picking up multiple children, siblings will be waiting with the youngest child
Walkers/Bike Riders/Bus/B.A.S.E.:
  • Staff will guide students during dismissal to get to their designated location
  • Staff will also guide students that will be picking up younger siblings
Bus:
  • Staff will guide students to the correct bus
  • School rules apply on the bus ride home 
The first days of school are very busy as everyone is getting used to procedures and routines, please be patient and allow sufficient time for car drop off and pick up.
